What you receive
The report organizes communication patterns across the uploaded conversation instead of answering from one isolated screenshot. Depending on the report focus, it can cover reciprocity, tone shifts, group roles, turning points and selected questions.
What makes the output inspectable
- Short evidence excerpts are checked against the transcript.
- Confidence labels show how strong or tentative a section is.
- Facts such as message-share patterns are kept separate from interpretation.
- The report states that it cannot know private intent.
Before you upload
Review the export and remove anything unrelated or highly sensitive. Make sure participant names are clear. Use only a conversation you are entitled to upload, and treat the report as a prompt for reflection rather than a factual ruling.
Choose a useful slice of the conversation
A long archive is not automatically more informative. Include enough messages to show the period or change you care about, but avoid years of unrelated history. Clear participant labels and consistent timestamps help the analyzer distinguish patterns from isolated moments. If the export omits attachments or reactions that materially change a message, remember that the report cannot reconstruct them.
Read evidence in context
Use the original TXT file to verify excerpts and look at the lines around them. A short response can signal distance, distraction or simply a busy day; the text alone cannot prove which explanation is correct. The report is most useful when it identifies a pattern across multiple messages and clearly marks uncertainty, leaving the final judgment with you.
File upload instead of inbox access
The site starts with the TXT file you select. It does not ask for your Apple ID, Messages password or ongoing access to the Messages app. That narrower workflow lets you review the export first and choose the conversation yourself. It also means the analyzer knows nothing beyond the text contained in that specific file.
What an iMessage chat analyzer can and cannot see
An iMessage chat analyzer works from the exported text you choose, not from a live connection to your Messages account. What Brandon Thinks organizes the supplied conversation into a report about visible communication patterns, selected excerpts and their context. It can help you find a repeated question or a change in a planning thread that is difficult to see when reading one message at a time.
The analysis is limited to what the export contains. It cannot hear tone of voice, reconstruct an omitted image, see a deleted message or know why someone did not reply. A confident interpretation is still an interpretation. Use the report to form better questions, not to establish a person’s private feelings.

Prepare a supported iMessage text export
The upload flow accepts a supported iMessage TXT file up to 25 MB and includes an export tutorial. Review the file before selecting it: participant names should be understandable and messages should retain their order and timestamps where available. If the text is incomplete or difficult to read, the resulting analysis may be incomplete too.
Choose a period that answers your question rather than uploading an entire archive by default. A few weeks around a recurring planning issue may be more useful than years of unrelated material. Remove passwords, identity documents, health details and other unnecessary sensitive information. Only upload a conversation you are entitled to use.

Follow a question through the transcript
Start with something specific, such as “How do we settle plans?” or “What changed after this conversation?” Look at who raises the topic, how each person responds and whether the discussion leads to an action. A single delayed answer can have many explanations, so compare it with other exchanges before treating it as a pattern.
After reading a finding, locate its excerpt in the original file and read the messages before and after it. Check whether the quoted words were a joke, a response to a different question or part of a longer disagreement. Look for counterexamples as well as evidence that confirms the report.

Understand the report preview
The preview contains a verdict, scores and two findings. The sample report uses a fictional conversation so you can inspect the format without uploading your own. For current purchase availability, see the pricing page; contact support@whatbrandonthinks.app if you need to use the service.
A longer report is not a guarantee of certainty. The decision brief is intended to lay out supporting signals, counter-signals and missing context, plus message drafts that you can adapt. Review the wording yourself and do not send a suggested message without considering the relationship and situation.

Privacy and responsible use
The selected transcript is processed to generate the requested report, including by an AI provider. The site does not need your Apple ID or direct access to Messages for this file-based workflow. Read the safety and privacy pages for the application’s retention rules and deletion controls, and consider the relevant providers’ policies before sharing a private conversation.
A transcript is only one source of information. If your concern involves abuse, safety, legal matters or health, seek appropriate human support. For an ordinary disagreement, a specific and respectful conversation with the other person can provide context that an analyzer cannot access.
